There is no current contract wording to address this issue. And the agency refuses to allow a “name clearing hearing” since they contend the retiree is no longer covered by the contract which would have allowed for arbitration.

We are seeking input from other law enforcement associations that may have addressed this or a similar situation in the past. We are open to dealing with this issue contractually or by a change in department policy or by some other means.
