|Editorial Board Stirs the Pot For Its Own Profit|
It appears that Newsday is prepared to use its bully pulpit to foster an atmosphere of confrontation, and not cooperation, in direct conflict with its oft-stated beliefs.
It takes but a moment to recognize Newsday’s flip-flop on this issue. Newsday is a profit-making corporation. Continuing conflict between the county and the PBA sells papers.
When Newsday’s stated position comes in conflict with the bottom line, the bottom line prevails.
“Hooray for us, and let the public be damned” should be the headline of the editorial page.
