Strange Bedfellows

“Hello police? I need someone to come out here and get this goat off my car!”
In Northern Alabama, a woman driving her Mercedes saw a goat and dog playing on U.S. Highway 72. The driver stopped her car because she was afraid she was going to hit the animals.

But when she stopped, the goat jumped up on to the car and started stomping on her expensive paint job, heavily denting the sheetmetal, and so she called the Limestone County Sheriff's Department for help.
The deputy who responded got the goat down off the car and managed to herd the animal into his patrol car. The dog, to everyone’s surprise, followed right behind it and jumped in the back seat.
The dog was taken to a local veterinarian for a checkup and temporary housing, and the goat was placed at the home of another deputy for the time being.
"If anybody is missing a goat and dog, they need to let us know," Sheriff Mike Blakely said shortly after the incident.
