From a news article relating to the Oakland, CA tragedy:

A short time later, acting on a tip, police surrounded a building on Hillside St. and 74th Ave -- a block from the initial shooting scene. A SWAT team was sent in and shot it out with a suspect, who had barricaded himself inside and was armed with an assault weapon.

Wait a minute... aren't "assault weapons" banned in California? And what about this dirtbag's criminal history? He could have never passed a NICS check to buy a firearm, could he?

Hmmmm...... makes me wonder why sheeple seem to think banning weapons and making it harder for people to legally buy them will stop the criminal element form getting their filthy paws on them anyway.

This just goes to show you that only the law abiding citizens are subject to "banning" of weapons. Criminals don't seem to care about gun laws, now do they?

Excellent catch. Now if only every dumbass that believes the AWB works would read and understand it. But of course that will never happen because to answer that argument they would open up the ban all weapons argument and that would solve the problem. Blah Blah Blah. The AWB will never work because the criminals get their assault weapons from the black market, if I am not mistaken. Not a gun store where they can be regulated.

From what I've been reading, I think they must be going to Mexico and getting them. Seems the "Powers" feel that all the assult weapons are being bought here and shipped to Mexico, so...There shouldn't be many left in the USA right?????
