    Exclamation Public Forum Terms of Service

    Infraction points will be issued for forums Terms of Service (TOS) violations. The number of infraction points issued for each kind of violation is stated below. Any member who receives a total of ten infraction points within one calendar year will be automatically banned for seven days. Any member who has been temporarily banned at some point prior, and has accumulated ten points on his/her infraction meter upon his/her return, will be automatically banned for thirty days. Any member who has been temporarily banned two times prior, and has accumulated ten points on his/her infraction meter upon his/her return, will be permanently banned.

    -Excessive or unnecessary obscene language is not allowed, and will result in two infraction points.

    -Images or links depicting nudity are not allowed, and will result in five infraction points.

    -Obscene, vulgar, or otherwise inappropriate sexual content is not allowed, and will result in four infraction points. As a general rule of thumb, anything that would be "rated R" in a movie is likely to be inappropriate.

    -Interrupting or hi-jacking threads is not allowed, and will result in a warning for the first offense. Each subsequent offense after the warning will result in one infraction point.

    -Failing to take an issue to private messages after being asked to do so by a Site Staff member is not allowed, and will result in five infraction points.

    -Starting a thread that stems from a previous thread that was locked or deleted is not allowed, and will result in four infraction points.

    -Non-verified members answering questions in the Ask-A-Cop section is not allowed, and will result in two infraction points.

    -Post whoring (posting something just for the sake of posting or posting something that is mostly meaningless to the thread) is not allowed, and will result in a warning for the first offense. Each subsequent offense after the warning will result in two infraction points.

    -Abusing or improperly using the report-a-post button is not allowed, and will result in one infraction point.

    -Inappropriate signature lines/avatars/profiles which contain language or images which could be considered obscene, offensive, or inappropriate are not allowed, and will result in two infraction points. The member must come into compliance within twenty four hours of being notified. Any subsequent offense after the warning will result in the member receiving ten infraction points.

    -Disrespect of Site Staff is not allowed, and will result in five infraction points.

    -Failing to follow a Site Staff member’s order is not allowed, and will result in ten infraction points.

    -Making threatening or intimidating statements to other members is not allowed, and will result in ten infraction points.

    -Harassment and sexual harassment are not allowed, and will result in a permanent ban.

    -Implying that you're a C/O or LEO by any means when you are not is not allowed, and will result in a warning for the first offense. Any subsequent offense after the warning will result in ten infraction points.

    -LEOs and C/Os who refuse to contact Site Staff with their information for LEO or C/O verification within seven days of registering or within seven days of meeting the verification requirements is not allowed, and will result in a permanent ban.

    -Spamming is not allowed, and will result in a permanent ban.

    -Trolling (registering for the purpose of posting controversial or contrary messages with the intention of baiting users into an argumentative response) is not allowed, and will result in a permanent ban.

    -Creating more than one account without permission from Site Staff is not allowed, and will result in a permanent ban.

    -Discussing or making other members aware of disciplinary matters involving Site Staff is not allowed, and will result in four infraction points.

    -Using another member's user name/account is not allowed, and will result in a permanent ban.

    -Allowing another member to use your user name/account is not allowed, and will result in a permanent ban.

    -Failing to cooperate with an investigation by Site Staff is not allowed, and will result in a permanent ban.

    -Re-registering under another username while banned is not allowed, and will result in permanent ban.

    -It is at the discretion of Site Staff whether a member who requests his/her account to be deleted and then attempts to return to the site at a later time will be allowed to return.

    -Officer Resource is a private site, so membership on Officer Resource is not guaranteed, and can be revoked at any time, without cause, reason, or prior notification. Officer Resource Site Staff will make decisions about memberships which are in the best interest of the members of the forum and the site.

    -Not all situations can be covered in the Terms of Service. If Site Staff members are made aware of, or observe, something that does not appear to be in the best interests of this site, or doesn't correlate with Officer Resource's Official Mission Statement, then they reserve the right to take ANY moderating action.

    -All interpretations of TOS violations, definitions, and all matters related to the TOS are strictly determined by Site Staff.

    -Every registered user on OfficerResource.com is now required to have a minimum of 50 posts, and a minimum of 6 months membership duration before they can gain the privilege of posting a NEW THREAD or REPLY in the Classifieds sections, or post FOR SALE ad (or REPLY with selling intent) in any section of the site. Post whoring (i.e. "cool, wow, ..., sweet.....etc) to reach 50+ posts is not allowed. Post count will be reset to zero with or without any notification. If member is caught post whoring two times they will be banned. Posting for sale items in other forums to circumvent this rule is prohibited and the posts will be deleted and infraction points will be issued. Verified LEOs may be granted an exception with permission from a SuperMod or the Site Owner [Reca].

    -Site Staff members are exempt from the TOS.
