Outgoing Governor Issues Nearly 300 Pardons
Story: Barbour issues nearly 300 pardons - WLBT 3 - Jackson, MS:JACKSON, Miss. (AP) - Former Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour granted pardons or early release to dozens of state prisoners, including 29 convicted of murder, manslaughter or homicide, in his final days in office.

It has always been customary for an outgoing governor to pardon a few inmates at the end of his final term but this is causing quite an outrage down here.
Opinions? Does this happen where you are?

Actually, the out cry about this has me pleasantly surprised. I figured it would be the same old story : liberals, liberals, liberals, liberals... but actually hearing some out cry in the news.... gives me a little hope now.
