More here: Judge halts drug tests as condition of Florida payments | Reutersn a 37-page ruling, U.S. District Court Judge Mary Scriven in Orlando granted an injunction barring the state from enforcing the new law until the case is resolved.
The lawsuit was filed by the American Civil Liberties Union of Florida on behalf of a University of Central Florida student who refused to take the test when he applied for Temporary Assistance to Needy Families, a federal program that provides cash assistance to families with children.
In her ruling, Scriven said the testing procedure could cause irreparable harm to recipients.

Once again the federal government is over stepping its bounds and infringing on a State’s right to make decisions based on the will and best interest of its people. If the young fellow does not want to be tested for drugs then he should not be trying to take the working people’s money. If he insist on taking money that he did not earn and still wants to do drugs, then maybe he should try going to school elsewhere. “In her ruling, Scriven said the testing procedure could cause irreparable harm to recipients”. So could doing drugs. I have been taking them for more than 25 years and have yet to have a drug test hurt or cause irreparable harm. Life is full of choices. Those choices have consequences. Deal with it or get busy dying.

"It's a great life. You risk your skin catching killers and the juries turn them loose so they can come back and shoot at you again. If your honest , your poor your whole life. And , In the end , you wind up dying all alone on some dirty street. For what? For nothing. For a tin star."
Far from being a handicap to command, compassion is the measure of it. For unless one values the lives of his soldiers and is tormented by their ordeals , he is unfit to command.

I saw that one judge said it would violate search and seizure laws. So it is illegal for them to be tested but on any given day my wife, her co workers, or any other officer can be called in for a random piss test?
