Cops: Man Makes Fake 911 Call to Get Out of Speeding Ticket
NAPLES, FLA -- A 31-year old man is accused of making a fake 911 call to avoid getting a speeding ticket.
Jonathan Paul Rorech, of North Naples, was driving on Tuesday when a deputy pulled him over for speeding, reports the Naples Daily News.
While the deputy ran Rorech's information in the patrol car, Rorech called 911 and reported a shooting in the vicinity.
The deputy dropped what he was doing and rushed off to the reported shooting.
Rorech drove away free on his suspended license.
But when the deputy discovered there had been no shooting, he decided to call the number on the 911 report.
