PHOENIX – The Arizona House voted Thursday to make the state the third in the nation to allow people to carry concealed weapons without a permit, sending the governor a bill that would allow Arizonans to forego background checks and classes that are now required.

I see they also are trying the tenth amendment "produced here" thing like Montana.

I am not against the carrying of a firearm. It's just that people who will carry should be properly trained. Having the right to and exercising the right to carry a firearm does not mean a person knows how to legally utilize one. I talk to people all the time here that fully believe they can kill someone for anything from stealing their car to cursing at them.
My wife and oldest son just recently attended the mandatory firearms class for their permits here. My wife was saying there were some real winners in that class who had some very incorrect beliefs on use of force.

I saw Wyoming also passed a firearms freedom act. They also provided jail/fine terms for any Feds that try to interfere

That is outstanding. I'm all for these laws provided that felony convictions are noted in NCIC and other databases so an officer is aware of that fact when contacting a subject.

All of the states that pass these acts should provide something similar. Just think, if they convict one of these guys for a felony does he loose his job with the Feds? If not when he goes back to work can the state officers arrest him for being a felon with a gun?

The present case law does not allow for the charging of a Federal agent by a State for a felony committed on duty.
