Police officer tases bull, saves man
FREEPORT, Minn. (AP) - At first, responders could not help Melvin Pundsack because the animal was too aggressive.
A police officer had to use his Taser to control a bull that attacked a man on a farm in central Minnesota.
The Stearns County sheriff's office says 74-year-old Melvin Pundsack was knocked down and attacked by a bull while he and his wife were trying to herd cows on the family's farm Sunday.
Rose Pundsack was forced to stand on a snowpile for safety.
At first, responders could not help Melvin Pundsack because the animal was too aggressive. So an Albany police officer used his Taser on the animal to allow rescue members to get Pundsack out and take him to the hospital.
Pundsack was treated and released. He says he's "pretty sore" but he's "holding up."

That was the red taser on the bull in the linked youtube, not the yellow one for people. It would be a pity to get those mixed up.

It looked to me like the ultimate result was that it made the bull much madder.
So, I hope the red animal Taser has a "drop and run" 30-second mode like the civilian taser, or preferably more than 30 seconds. That's why the civilian Taser can go longer than the police model. The idea is to throw it down and run while it's still zapping.
