You people assume every person out there that is a registered sex offender is a baby-diddler. You need to remember how fucked up many of our state's laws are regarding sex offenders. I promise you the vast majority of them are registered because of statutory rape or something similar because they were 17 when their girlfriend was 15.
I'm not saying such behavior shouldn't be a crime, but how many stupid things did you do at 17 that you would want to haunt you for the rest of your life- and even label you a child molester?
And hell, if they want internet, just put them back in prison."If everyone is thinking alike, then someone isn't thinking." -Gen. George S. Patton

If you commit heinous crimes you should forfeit your constitutional rights. If you want life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness. DON'T BRAKE THE LAW!!
Good things come to those whowaitSEIZE THE DAY!!

I wish that were true.
While I can't claim to speak to the entire data base in my state, I do have access to it (computerized) and have been responsible for investigating and compliance checks of Sex Offenders. The vast majority of the ones I've come across (or snooped on/browsed in adjoining locals) are NOT on the list because they has underage sex with their underage GF.
In fact, it reads like a true horror show when you realize how many sick fucks are out there.
I am strongly against "watering down" of the requirements to get listed, as it defeats the purpose of the list. My own state has a qualifier that I disagree with, added in the past couple years. I have lobbied against going this direction with the powers that be (law makers and my state's BCA).

As a condition of sentence, any constitutional right they lose has been taken following due process - just as felons lose their second amendment right following conviction.
I see no issue with it, constitutionally - due process has been followed.I'm your huckleberry...
