i will decided when my children learn the proper term for body parts. i will not let the liberals tell me when is the right time. the right time will be base on my children's maturity level. if they ask a question they will get an honest answer. until then i will enjoy my children's innocence and bury the bodies of those that interfere. my child my rules. my children are 4yr and 21days so i still have sometime before i have to cross that bridge.

Of Course I Think They Should Learn The Correct Terms For Their Body Parts. That Way They Can Separate The Correct Terms From The More.....inappropriate Terms They Could Use In Front Of Strangers. I Don't Want My Children To Run Around Saying "scrotum" Or "vagina" Just For The Hell Of It But Hell, It Sure As Hell Sounds Better Than Them Running Around Saying.....well! Im Sure You Get The Picture!

Everyone Has Their Own Opinions On The Way They Parent Their Children. If Youre One Of The Parents That Doesn't Want Their Child To Hear About The Subject At An Early Age, Ban Them From Watching T.v. Because God Knows That's All That's On These Days! Shit! Don't Forget About The Radio! It's There Too!

I Think They Sell Human-sized Bubbles At Target. That Should Keep Them Safe.(at Least For A Little While)
Sooner Or Later They Will Know! Why Not Start Sooner...get It Over With!

wake up; sex is not immoral but it is supposed to be a "private" act between 2 people. I do not want other peoples breasts on a tv show that my children could be watching. This country attempts to set guidelines as to what is deemed inapproperiate by the majority, and "Private" body parts on public tv ARE. cutting up a corpse on tv, is in the name of science, may be gross, but it is in the name of science, a womens breasts on tv is in the name of entertainment for men, show me a mans penis on public tv, then we can call it fair.

I'm totally against all this PC bullshit. Kids need to hear real language, not baby language. Also, my kids will be taught that boobs are not dangerous. I rather have my kids see boobs than senseless violence. I guess I'm just European

real language is not slang, real language is the proper medical term to describe a body part; boobs is not in the dictionary, breasts are. People who use slang words to describe a body part often do it out of ignorance. I am European too.

I was referring more to the fact that a nipple on TV here is a national disaster, while as you all kinds of violence on TV and that's just fine.

well I think a nipple on public tv is uncalled for, so is violence, you never see a mans penis on tv, why not, is it more sacred than a womans breast?

"Should children be exposed to sexually frank words like "scrotum?""

Only when they reach the age of reason; for most, somewhere between 25 and 30.

I picked up the book, and will try to read it this weekend.

By the way, it was Librarians that first raised the issue, they thought it was not appropriate use of language.
