FORT WORTH, Texas -- Tarrant County is getting tough on people convicted of drunken driving.
The Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports the district attorney's office will no longer make plea bargains allowing DWI defendants to serve their sentences on work details.
Instead, they will have to serve their time in jail.
Sheriff Dee Anderson told the paper that the move would put an added burden on an already-crowded jail.
