APB Cover. Possibly NSFW
I wasn't sure exactly where to post this but I guess magazines are media, so it fits. Have any of you guys and gals seen the June cover of American Police Beat? I can't believe they published it with the big picture on the cover. It totally looks like the trooper is feeling up the female's breast. And he has a look on his face as if the say, "Oh shit! Someone is taking a picture of me feeling up this chick!" hehe I can see a photographer not caring about how it looks, but I don't know how the editor let it slip by. I personally don't care about it (more like I think it's hilarious), but in this day and age I wouldn't be surprised for someone to be working elsewhere after publishing that picture.

I thought that pic was hilarious. Of course I was a bit disappointed that the awesome photo and the story of a cop catching a suicide jumper was relegated to the back page while that goofy photo made the cover.

I also thought it looked like he wanted to test if it was real or fake

From our editor (note: this also appears in our July issue in the "letters" section):
"Out of control parties at college campuses are a serious challenge for the agencies and officers that have to respond. They involve intoxicated individuals of an age-group most likely to resist arrest and or injure officers. The image of Pennsylvania State Trooper Jamie Sgarlat was an excellent example of that kind of challenge. Unfortunately the actual content of the photo (An officer in a chaotic situation trying to ascertain facts from an emotional witness and preventing her from joining a fight across the street and out of frame) was perhaps obscured, and all many people saw was just a hand near a woman’s breast.
In no way was the use of this image intended to embarrass Trooper Sgarlat or his agency. As editor of American Police Beat, I would like to formally apologize to anyone that was offended by the photo."

Hahha, this is exactly what we thought too when we saw it!
There’s a promise I need you to make
While I’m gone you take care of the love
And I’ll deal with the hate.
Don’t worry about me; I’ll be all right
Just care for your children and sleep tight
I’ll keep you safe on my watch tonight

I saw it too. I don't know anyone that was offended by it. Everyone I talked to saw humor in it.

If anyone, even remotely related to law enforcement, was offended by that picture they need a reality check. That was some funny stuff.

Entertaining it was! We thought it was funny, but also wondered how the hell it passed the editor's desk.
