Vacation state observations.
This vacation was not the most relaxing, nor the best. Not up to expectations.
However, I got to meet IMGreat, and I saw a good deal of this country while driving to my destinations.
Colorado- Reaffirmed why I moved here. I love it.
Nebraska- thanks for the huge ripple on the highway that woke my 2 year old from his 30 minute nap. Also, holy crap, either control the heat or humidity. 105 degrees with over 70% humidity is not fun.
Iowa- Y'all are sneaky with your gas advertising. It's not fair to put the price for your corn supplemented gas as the unleaded price, only to trick us not familiar with it into up to 20 cents more a gallon for the regular unleaded. Nebraska also does it, but their prices were closer together than Iowa's.
Illinois- Other than Chicago, not a bad place.
Indiana- Nobody else around is charging $4 a gallon for gas. Stop gouging on your toll road.
Ohio- Here's a tip, instead of 20 road projects with 2 or 3 guys each, combine your work force, and go one project at a time and knock them out quickly.
Pennsylvania- My childhood home. I'll always love it there, but NW Pennsylvania is getting run down. Spend some money and revitalize it please.
Kentucky- Always love being in Kentucky
Tennesee and Mississippi- Please do tourists a favor and hand out tennis rackets and gallon jugs of OFF to allow us to have a fighting chance against mosquitos.
Oh, and mississippi, please put other entertainment venues around your casinos. I do not feel like gambling all the time, and would like something else nearby to do.
Rant off.The world would be much cleaner if blind people carried brooms instead of sticks.
At communion, when the priest says "Body of Christ", I say "Thanks, I've been working out", then I grab the cracker and run back to my seat

I keep threatening hubby with a move to Colorado. I'm tired of dying from the heat here. He whines about it being too cold in Colorado. Wuss. Love him, but wuss. *sigh*

Even though it wasn't the best, I'm glad you had a safe trip!

And I totally agree with you about construction in Ohio, PA is not much better in some areas.

About midway in the state. Was cutting up to south Dakota from I-80. He told me later after I IDed myself and my old K9 almost ate him that he stopped me because of my CA plates. Seems in the 15 years he has been working I was the only one with a western plate (CA, OR, WA) that hasn't had dope.
