11-10-08, 08:22 AM #21Yes I agree that this is likely senerio.Worst case scenario: Obama breaks some or all his promises, the economy gets stuck in deep recession, he raises taxes on everyone, his healthcare, education, and alternative energy plans flop, he withdraws US troops from Iraq but leaves behind a civil war that Al Qaeda eventually wins. Obama appoints only far-left progressives and Democrats as his advisers and administration officials, wastes his honeymoon period on divisive issues like gun control and abortion, and is so bad that he ushers in an era of far-right Republican rule. Thanks for the hint, CTR Man! And thanks for your laconic clues, Xiphos and Maclean!
I finally found it! Score!
This is like finding the Freemasons' "National Treasure!"
"The Greek phrase Molōn labe! (Μολὼν λαβέ; approximate Classical Greek pronunciation [molɔ̀ːn labé], Modern Greek [moˈlon laˈve]), meaning "Come and take them!", is a classical expression of defiance reported by Plutarch in response to the Persian Army's demand that the Spartans surrender their weapons. It is roughly corresponding to the modern equivalent English phrase "over my dead body". It is an exemplary use of a laconic phrase."

Jenna: I was pleased to see you track that piece of info down. Very good job. Did you also understand the passion with which such words are spoken?
It is the drawing of a line.....beyond this, I will not be pushed...at your peril or mine.
It is the line which has been drawn throughut American history by those with the courage to pay the price of their defiance no matter what. Interesting, don't you think, that at this time in our history there are still people who feel this way? I think that means that all is not as well as we would like with our great republic.
Car 4I would like my country back. I used to believe that one man could never destroy this country. Not so sure anymore!

Of thy chaste breast and quiet mind
To war and arms I fly. - Lovelace

While I agree with Car 4 completely, I seriously doubt the end of Obama's term in office will look like scenes from the Road Warrior like most people seem to think.
The biggest concern (slash threat?) that we face with Obama and the Dems taking power is the same one we faced in '93: Socialized Healthcare. And it's had over a decade to stew in the political pressure cooker, and so I think it's far more likely to pass."If everyone is thinking alike, then someone isn't thinking." -Gen. George S. Patton
