Bay County Crime Stoppers has honored five area law enforcement officers for their skill and dedication in solving crimes and assisting and protecting the public.

I have one question, and PLEASE DON'T TAKE THIS WRONG,I believe all Law Enforcement Officers have a tough job, and need to be honored. But what about Corrections Officers?

I have yet to see any C/O's honored and I have been in the job for 10 yrs. Shouldn't someone honor the ones behind the scenes as well?

Just my opinion and I will step back and shut up now.
Please be kind and don't rant too hard on me, I am married and you all married men know that a married man is just one step away from being beat down.

Looks like you need to start a web site, and start soliciting stories of "above and beyond," and come up with a way to get the word out.

Good point. Sometimes has to have some patience for sitting with the inmates. I did it for a short time and just the noise alone drove me nuts. C/O's are caged as bad as the inmates!!!

Friend of mine works for the BOP, and said they had a ceremony in DC along with the rest of the LE week events.
