It's got to be a server glitch or something, Darin. About a week or so ago I had another Verified LEO tell me the same thing. I will have our computer guy check into it. And by computer guy, I mean my swarthy latin boy toy. Oh Dios mio!

That may have been me... At least it happened a couple of weeks back, and I told somebody!
What I think it boils down to is how you get access. I've seen it happen other places, too. AOL, for example, has several (probably several dozen) IP addresses which it assigns randomly when you sign on. If someone from AOL has been spamming the board or otherwise caused that IP address to be blocked, and you "win" it one day... You're screwed.

Good point - They have tens of thousands of IP numbers. Dialup users typically get a new IP every time they dial up, but it may be within a limited range of numbers for a given area. I'm a cable modem user, so my IP is relatively stable - Unless I decide to do a release/renew on my IP number, or I turn my cable modem and router off for a long time and my reservation on it expires.

YOUR computer's IP address is stable. But, for example, if you use broadband access to AOL (which is now free), and you go through AOL's browser, you get their IP address. I've just proved this; I couldn't make this post from AOL, but I'm doing fine via Mozilla's Firefox on the same computer.

I had the same problem all day today at my parent's house. They have AOL broadband, and it was telling me all day that my IP address was banned from my computer. Imagine that...the site owner banned from his own website! It's a good thing I don't have those problems with the multiple tranny sites I run. I don't think I could make it a whole day without some good, old fashioned tranny porn.

How about this... if I log on to the site in my patrol car, it just says thank you for logging in and then bounces me right back to the non-verified page. I go into the office (same network) and it goes through fine.

I have that problem at work too....we have one of the computers for personal use in the break room, and I can't log on there. The two in the briefing room work fine.
