Where in the world is Ducky NOW???
OK, last week I was in Alabama, then a couple days in Atlanta early this week. Now, I'm in Orlando, FL. And you know all that glorious Florida sunshine? I call BS. I've been rained on 10 separate times since I got here, a scant 7 hours ago (yes, I counted!) I've also discovered that Armadillos are either a) not real animals and instead are just grown along the side of the road, or b) opossums that have been quick cooked on the pavement so they're crunchy on the outside or juicy on the inside. The new state motto should be "Florida: We're more than just Miami, Disney, and old people. OK, not much more maybe..." But holy hell, the traffic. I think I saw a 90 year old driving a Maserati at 40 miles an hour on 95, and about 15 Cubans pushing a pickup truck, Fred Flintstone style, doing about 85.
Tomorrow Mr Ducky and I are going to go and scream at the Mouse for a while. Then maybe go back and do it again on Friday. Sad thing is, we forgot to bring ANY of the devil duckies with me, so I can't get any incriminating photos of a certain Mouse going over to the Duck Side.

Who in hell said we can afford it? We're sharing a suite with my parents for a bookseller's convention, so the store's paying for it, but they gave Mr Ducky and I the master bedroom and the disney tickets as a birthday / anniversary present. Somehow, I can deal with that.

Books just put people to sleep. Why would I want to go all the way across the country to look at something that puts people to sleep???

It only makes you sleepy b/c you have to look up every other word in the dictionary and all that work and thought exhausts you. To some people, with a slightly larger vocabulary than the normal Texan, books are better than movies!  I know! Shocking, huh?!?!
