Political Corruption

A bunch of high level politicians in Great Britain have gotten caught with their hands in the cookie jar, embezzling public money for their own personal use. Some of these same politicians have called for "transparency" in policing and instituted all kinds of stupidity in the name of eliminating police corruption. A great blog in the UK by one of our brothers points out some of this. The blog is written by an Inspector which, from what I gather, is the equivalent of a Captain or Lieutenant here. He blogs about all the political correctness crippling law enforcement there, and here's one of the main culprits:

Goodbye Mrs Richard J Timney. POLICE INSPECTOR BLOG
Quote:
Goodbye Mrs Richard J Timney.
You took £116,000 for your sister’s bedroom while stealing my wages.
Your husband earns a £40,000 salary to manage your constituency office.
The best thing about you was that you were not Hazel Blears. But then you were after all.

Thank you for your advice on police accountability, transparency and integrity.

And for the new Police Conduct Regulations where you invented the offence of “Undermining Public Confidence”.

You forgot to take any notice of your own rules. When I think of the police officers hanged out to dry for minor misdemeanours, it makes my blood boil.

Next; the felatious Mrs Michael Halsall and her three homes.

Gadget Note: this site will only celebrate the demise of policing and Home Office ministers who have damaged or destroyed traditional policing in the name of political expediency. i.e. all of them!

Always the ones on a moral crusade who seem to have the most dirt on them. Makes you wonder about others with "transparency" fetishes.

I've never heard of "transparency" being referred to as a fetish.......and after a few minutes of contemplation I must admit I definitely agree!

I've seen several fraud cases and the pattern is almost always the same.... a little at first, then a little more, then a little more and then gradually it becomes a beast that just can't stop. One case I came across, the perp over a period of 3 to 4 years had greased her palms with a little over $1,000,000. Was definitely an interesting case.

Couldn't get the link to work, but as far as the politicians:

I remember my grandparents grousing that "All them politicians are a bunch of crooks." I thought they were being overly simplistic.

Now I find myself saying, "All them politicians are a bunch of crooks."

That's because it transcends generations and we've, as a general rule, have grown smarter than when we were younger.
