I'm going to have to go to ours this year, it's just too tempting now with all the food being waved around.

The Great Minnesota Get-Together begins next week for us and runs through Labor Day. It's one of the largest State Fairs in the nation and they typically draw 1.7 million ppl over the 12 days. I've gone just about every year.

Bad News

When I arrived at the fair yesterday I was told I will not get preferred parking. Some corporate decision about media is not special anymore.

And there will be no carnival worker interviews. It is supposedly interrupting their jobs.

I am waiting for a call from the Iowa State Fair Marketing Director to schedule an interview with her and the head of fair security.

Wow, people at the State Fair here can only drink beer in a couple of tents. You will get arrested if you do happen to make it out of one and walk down the midway with it in your hand.

That is one state fair that I would love to attend, I've heard that it's incredible.

I might have missed it, but what do you do with the media?

And thanks for making me hungry.

At the Wisconsin State Fair, they had treats such as "Chocolate Covered Bacon on a stick," and a Krispee-creme cheese burger, (a cheese burger between halves of a donut,). My daughter went and I asked her to search for the elusive "Carney with a full set of teeth." She couldn't find them. I'm starting to think that's another urban legend.
