i need a holster

I recently purchased a new Springfield XDM 40 and have the holster that it came with, however i am in need of a holster for on duty carry. I have read some articles that say the regular xd40 holster will work for it. After comparing them side by side the slide on the xdm is more rounded than the xd 40. Does anyone know what holster if any will fit it properly so that it will not rattle around while running.

The Blackhawk Serpa that is designed for the XD will fit the XDm. I tried it and will be picking it up next time at Tn gun Country.

I also do not like the xdm holster that came with my xdm.

I would suggest the holster from blackhawk. I purchased one and I am sold on it. This is the best onduty holster I have ever had. Contact shoestring, or baumshoe they carry them and their prices beat any I have found. If you want more info on the serpa I would be glad to talk to you.

I wear a Blackhawk Serpa too... Love it.

The one I have is just level 2 with a latch, but there's also a Level 3 model with a hood in addition to a latch. The latch on the level 2 is very easy to get used to, but I haven't tried the level 3 yet. The main thing to learn on the Level 2 is that you can't pull up on the gun before releasing the latch - That makes it very hard to unlatch.

Thanks for the feedback i will definately look into these. I love the xdm and would suggest it to anyone in the market for a new sidearm but i just dont like the holster it came with. Also I am in central Tx and am in need of extra magazines because when I bought the gun I was told the mags were on backorder. I have only found one place that can order them but got no guarantee as to when they would be in any ideas?

sure if its not too much trouble.. i went by the local gun store i picked it up at today and they still have them on backorder and have had them on backorder since i got the gun in june

just wanted to say thanks to everyone I finally got a chance to get out and pick up the blackhawk serpa and I love it I wore it to an extra job last night and couldn't even tell the gun was there...
