My new duty weapon

I have been patiently waiting for the Gen4 Glock 19s to come out. I have been carrying an M&P9 on duty for about 2 years now, (other than the 1 month trial of the M&P45, which I hated) but I sold my M&P9c to fund a Gen4 Glock 19 about 3 weeks ago.

As soon as I had that thing in my hands, I knew it must be my new duty gun. Everyone says the M&P fits their hand better than glock, and I used to agree, but my Gen4 G19 fits much better in every aspect than my M&P. I spoke with my firearms guy, he got me in to qualify that weekend, and now my glock goodness.

Shortly after that, in a fit of jealousy, my M&P9 fullsize decided it was not going to take me cheating anymore and packed up and left, leaving behind $500... Naturally, I went out and got a glock 26 lol.

In short, if you're mulling over the idea of a Gen4 Glock19, I definitely recommend it.

What do you think of the recoil pulse on the Gen4?

When comparing it with the same ammo (my reloads) to my M&P9, significantly flatter, with followups being much faster and closer together.

I was actually very surprised by this, figuring people were just exaggerating, but it's definitely noticeable.

As an example, and I didn't keep the target so I have no proof, one of the stages of my qualification involves 3 targets. You stand at arms length from the target directly in front of you, officer yells GUN, you draw and hip fire 3 in front of you, start to walk back, 3 shots center mass in front of you, keep walking a back, 3 shots center mass target right then 3 shots target left. My 3 shots on target right, were rapid fire and made a group ~2", my best group ever.

So I believe it's safe to say you're in love with your new companion?

Looks like all you need now is an off-duty rig from Trojan Tactical to carry that beauty and the mounted TLR 1 around in! (PM me!)
