Monroe County Sheriff's Special Investigations Detectives arrested two men and seized drugs and cash after serving a search warrant at a Marathon residence Wednesday night. The search warrant was served at 6:10 p.m. at 374 73rd Street Ocean, #1. , in a safe in the bedroom and underneath a pillow in the bedroom. They also found 10 vials of anabolic steroids in a microwave and a small amount of marijuana.
42 year old Jose Agosto, who lives at the residence, was arrested and charged with trafficking in cocaine, possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Another person at the residence, 18 year old Ernesto Herrada Cordova of Marathon, was charged with possession of the steroids, which were found in an envelope with his name on it.
In addition, $5,200 in cash was seized for possible forfeiture. Street value of the cocaine is estimated to be $17,500.00.
