Raising approximately $100,000, event organizers at Ringside, Inc. won big with their first annual Guns ‘N Hoses Amateur Boxing Event. The majority of the event’s proceeds benefited a very worthy cause – the local Surviving Spouse And Family Endowment Fund (S.A.F.E.), which serves the families of law enforcement officers, firefighters and emergency services personnel in the Kansas City area who have perished while protecting the community and its citizens. Sanctioned by U.S.A. Boxing, the event played host to 24 amateur boxing bouts where the cops and firefighters faced off against each other in the ring. The event’s platinum-level sponsors included Miller Lite, Favorite Nurses and ICOP Digital. ICOP also paid the expenses for the two U.K. boxers who participated.
