Chicago Police Officers Clinton Sebastian and Donna Walsh were the recipients of the prestigious Distinguished Service Award after they faced down a crazed gunman who was shooting at innocent civilians. When the officers ordered the man to drop the gun he began firing at them. Officers Sebastian and Walsh were able to get off three rounds which struck the suspect.
He was pronounced dead after being transported to the hospital.
Mark Donahue, president of the Chicago Lodge 7, Fraternal Order of Police, said, “Due to Donna Walsh and Clinton Sebastian’s dedication to duty, keen observation and courage in a difficult situation, a dangerous felon who had no regard for society or the safety of others by arming himself and firing a handgun wantonly was removed from our streets permanently.
It is with great appreciation that we present them with the Distinguished Service Award.” Add this page to your favorite Social Bookmarking websites
